Have you ever noticed, You would have planned something productively to do and suddenly one notification from Insta pops-up and BOOM. All your plans get collapsed and you will start scrolling Instagram. Guys never allow this to happen again.
All social media apps are competing for just one thing, that is people's attention. And they are working to maximise the time you spend on the phone. Not to mention, every one of us have that in our pockets. The worst scenario is " Mostly children and teenagers are being affected." They are working to schedule thoughts in your mind, the thoughts which they decide. And by doing so they earn huge profits but you? Are you going to allow this happen to you.
Acceptance : First you have to accept the reality that you are being persuaded. You might defend by telling that 'I am in control and using it wisely'. But INTROSPECT.
Action : When you realise that social media apps are consuming your time, Its time to take action. TURN-OFF YOUR NOTIFICATIONS.
Uninstalling them is not necessary, but spend limited time on it. You use it, don't allow it to use you.
4.HOBBIES! YOUR SWEETBIES
After the arrival of tonnes and tonnes of dumb serials, homemakers stopped pursuing their hobbies. Hobbies are the way to spend time effectively. They also help us in career opportunities sometimes. Hobbies are essential part in the life of humans since ancient times.
At this point of time, I would like to share the importance of hobbies in UPSC. If you aspire to become CIVIL SERVANT, you should mention your hobbies before the personality test. You might wonder what is the use.Through hobbies one can improve his/her Intellect and sharpness. The interview panel will question you on your hobbies and try to understand how well you pursue your hobbies.
In Julius Cesar drama Julius Caesar describes Casius as dangerous because
"He loves no plays
he hears no music..."
J.R.D.Tata liked to listen to music across the world, Homi Bhabha liked to paint during his free hours, and Albert Einstein loved to play violin and write travelogues. Don't leave your hobby in midway. Contribute time for it. Not only for this quarantine, pursue your hobbies even when you are stressed and lonely. Philately is the king of all hobbies. We will try to do a post exclusively for philately.

Reading good book gives you a unique experience and a sense of accomplishment when you successfully complete reading it.
