KEY TO MILITARY JARGONS : EPI 01

Eagle base. This is Eagle 595. How do you copy?

Eagle 595. This is base. Lima Charlie!

Requesting immediate medevac. I repeat requesting immediate medevac!

Can you able to understand the message behind it. If not don't worry. Guess why. Because you will be able to do so after reading our post. Today I'm going over  ten military terms commonly used in films which everyone needs to know.

1. 12'o Clock : This ones not to describe time but to point the direction towards straight. Imagine there is an enemy waiting for you on your path then you can warn others by telling 'watch your 12.'

2. 6'o Clock :  Yes you guys guessed it right! Its exactly opposite of 12'o Clock. It is to point the direction right behind your back.

"Never talk rubbish at anyone's Six", I think you got this 👦.

3. Negative : This one is simple. It is a reply answering NO or NEVER.

Sol1 : Any orders from the base?

Sol2 : Negative!

4. Bird : This is not literally the bird but to mention an airplane or a chopper that takes them to the battle field.

When the bird is arriving? May be at 1200 hrs.

5.  I'm dry : The soldier uses this term when he is out of bullets to fire and requires some.

6. Incoming! : Warning the comrades about the incoming attack.

7. Roger that : This one is my favourite! I personally use them in calls and chats with my friends. Roger that! is used when you want to tell the speaker that you got the message and understand it. Do you roger that?

My frnd : Complete the assignment and send a photo of it.

Me : Roger that!

My frnd: Whatever! Send it at the earliest😊.

8. May day : This you would have seen in Soorarai potru. Usually used by a pilot to describe a life threatening emergency. He/ She uses it when the plane is going to crash land.

9. Man down : A soldier is being hurt and is not available to attack the enemies.

Man down! Man down! I repeat Man down!

10. Rain : Who doesn't like rain? But you will if the word come from a soldier's mouth. Yep! because Rain means an airstrike. Save your head by staying low.

This ones not the end. We will come up with another fresh 10 military terms next week where you will get to know what is LIMA CHARLIE. Imagine how would it be to use these terminologies in our day-to-day life. Kind of interesting right? Comment below using these terms in your sentences! I can't wait to see it! Make it faster.....

TOP 5 BOOKS TO READ DURING QUARANTINE:

The one good thing that happened in my life during this quarantine is that I was able to read several self-development books and gain additional values and knowledge. While the rest of my friends share their experience on Money Heist and Riverdale, I stand lonely, unable to find someone with whom I could share my reading experiences with. Guess what, consider this post a selfish one, I don't feel guilty. Hahaa!! At least for you guys, I am there to be your companion to share the experience of these books that are best to read during quarantine.   1.Think & Grow Rich by Napolean Hill Eurekavillage Rating – 19/20 Excerpt : "Where failure is experienced, it is the individual, not the method, which has failed. If you try and fail, make another effort, and still another, until you succeed."  My all time favourite. I could describe it as a guide rather than a book. Think and Grow Rich always comes handy whenever I feel troubled and gives me the capability...

SPECIAL REVIEW ON EARTHLINGS In post writing, many would be general or the motive would be to entertain the readers. But very few posts would be from the writer's heart. They are unconditional, not written to impress the readers but to express feelings. Count this post as one. In a typical Sunday Morning when you enter Meat stalls (if you are a non-vegetarian)  your eyes would see the neatly hanging animal fleshes from which the butcher chops,  your brain would visualise the spicy food that your mom gonna prepare that afternoon. Refusing the fact that those animals were alive few hours before and has sacrificed its life. Remember not for any country's freedom or not serving any death sentence, but just to land on your plate. Earthlings is a 2005 American documentary film revealing "behind the scenes" from Slaughter houses, animal circuses and in scientific laboratories. Earthlings was taken way back in 2005 and since few have changed. There was a surge at animal prote...
